Andersen is hiring a DevOps Engineer with German for a project modernizing a regulatory software platform and ensuring secure infrastructure, system stability, and reliable operations.
Our customer operates at the intersection of environmental services, scientific expertise, and technology, helping organizations address complex operational and sustainability challenges. Its activities include environmental monitoring, research, and data analysis, with a focus on delivering reliable information to support informed decision-making. Modern digital solutions and effective data management practices contribute to improving service quality, accessibility, and operational efficiency.
The project is focused on modernizing and consolidating a custom software platform used by a trade supervisory authority. It includes completing the target system, migrating existing modules, decommissioning redundant systems, and providing ongoing operational support. The project also explores future AI and low-code capabilities while maintaining a secure on-premises infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Automating build, test and deployment processes.
- Setting up the contractor's development environment so it works from the start of the service phase.
- Monitoring and logging; evaluating application logs every two weeks for security events.
- Supporting platform and system updates on the client's servers (remote via VPN).
- Preparing installation packages and step-by-step installation guides (the client installs using the guide).
Requirements
- Commercial experience in DevOps for 3+ years.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and Jenkins.
- Experience configuring and managing Nginx.
- Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.
- Scripting skills in Shell/Bash and Python.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
- Level of German – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Desired skills
- Experience with Windows Server administration.
- Experience administering and maintaining Apache Tomcat and Keycloak.
- Experience deploying and managing on-premises ticketing systems, such as Jira Data Center, Redmine, or GitLab.
