Frontend Developer (React/Angular)

Summary

Andersen is hiring a Frontend Developer (React/Angular) on-site in Abu Dhabi for a project developing a digital case management platform and enhancing public services and citizen engagement.

Our customer is a public-sector organization responsible for advancing digital innovation and modernizing services across multiple domains. It supports strategic initiatives in emerging technologies, collaborates with industry and research partners, and develops long-term technology frameworks for improving operational efficiency and service accessibility. The organization focuses on secure, scalable, and sustainable digital development to drive continuous improvement within the broader ecosystem.

The project is focused on delivering digital transformation initiatives in the UAE, with a current emphasis on developing a case management platform for end-to-end handling of citizen requests. It supports the discovery, prototyping, and delivery of digital solutions aimed at improving social services, public engagement, and administrative efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining web frontend components of the management platform using React and Angular (case dashboards, workflows, forms, reporting views).
• Implementing responsive, user-friendly interfaces based on designs provided by the UI/UX designer.
• Integrating frontend applications with backend REST APIs.
• Implementing state management and ensuring application performance and maintainability.
• Ensuring code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to coding standards.
• Collaborating with the Business Analyst, designer, backend and QA engineers to deliver features end-to-end.
• Participating in sprint planning, estimation, and daily team ceremonies.
• Supporting releases, troubleshooting and resolving UI-related production issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Commercial experience in frontend development, including strong recent experience with React and Angular (v14+), for 5+ years.
• Excellent knowledge of TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS.
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and handling authentication/authorization flows.
• Experience with state management approaches (NgRx or similar).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and unit testing (Jasmine/Karma/Jest).
• Strong attention to UI detail and ability to work closely with designers.
• Ability to work in an Agile team and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Experience working with UAE-based companies.
• Experience with React Native.
• Experience with cross-platform mobile frameworks (Ionic / Capacitor) or micro-frontend architecture.
