Python Developer (EU)

Summary

Andersen is hiring a Python Developer in the EU for a project developing a scalable GRC SaaS platform and delivering reliable solutions for compliance and risk management.

Our customer is a European software and technology provider developing digital solutions that help organizations manage complex business, regulatory, and operational processes. Its platform supports greater transparency, efficiency, and control while helping businesses respond to evolving requirements and reduce operational risks. The company combines technology expertise with consulting, implementation, integration, and customization services, helping businesses streamline compliance processes and adapt to evolving regulatory requirements.

The project is focused on developing and enhancing a modular Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) SaaS platform that supports information security, risk management, business continuity, and data protection processes. It provides scalable and reliable compliance management capabilities for public sector organizations and large enterprises.

Responsibilities

• Extending the schema-driven backend.
• Implementing view-descriptor compilation (data schema, layout, permitted actions, initial data) per tenant, user and record state.
• Analyzing existing serializers, validation and business logic, and translating them into reusable, generic abstractions within the schema-driven layer rather than module-specific solutions.
• Migrating modules onto the new architecture (referenced-only, read-only and full-aggregate) while keeping backward compatibility with the existing data model and legacy REST API.
• Writing and extending automated, contract and integration tests (pytest, factory_boy, golden-fixture contracts between backend and frontend).
• Collaborating with Product to turn view declarations into functional, well-tested user interfaces.
• Contributing to and challenging architecture/design decisions, taking ownership beyond predefined implementation tasks.
• Supporting occasional cross-stack development involving the React/TypeScript renderer.

Requirements

• Experience in backend engineering with a strong track record of delivering production projects for 5+ years.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Django, and Django REST Framework, including REST API design.
• Experience designing complex domain models, validation logic, multi-tenant configurations, permissions / object-level visibility.
• Ability to work in large, mature production codebases while maintaining backward compatibility.
• Strong automated testing practices using pytest, factory_boy, or similar.
• Ability to work autonomously, contribute to technical design, and challenge architectural decisions when needed.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Experience with React and TypeScript, particularly schema- or metadata-driven UIs and JSON Schema.
• Familiarity with optimistic concurrency and contract testing using fixtures.
• Experience in GRC, compliance, or RegTech domains.
