System Analyst in Almaty

Summary

Andersen is hiring a System Analyst in Almaty for a project developing a centralized digital banking platform and delivering scalable solutions for modern financial services.

The customer is a large financial institution serving millions of retail and corporate clients. It combines a broad physical presence with strong investment in digital platforms, mobile solutions, data infrastructure, cybersecurity, and open integrations. Technology is central to improving customer experience and scaling modern banking services.

The project is focused on developing and enhancing a centralized digital platform for banking services. It aims to integrate key systems and business capabilities, streamline internal processes, and provide a scalable and reliable foundation for delivering modern financial products and services.

Responsibilities

• Gathering, analysis, and specification for development: Translating product initiatives (in the form of business requirements) into clear technical specifications, including writing detailed epics and tasks in Jira for the development of customer-facing services.
• Describing system interactions, data flows, and event-driven models, including integration with message brokers such as Kafka.
• Designing REST/SOAP services, defining data structures (JSON/XML), and maintaining up-to-date API documentation in Swagger.
• Creating and maintaining a technical knowledge base in Confluence, as well as designing component interaction diagrams, including Sequence and Activity diagrams.
• Collaborating closely with product teams, UX/UI designers, and developers throughout all stages of the development lifecycle, from grooming to release, including analyzing Figma designs from a technical implementation perspective.
• Designing data structures, contributing to event tracking configuration (e.g., via data layers in Google Tag Manager), and designing frontend logic.
• Validating integrations, independently testing APIs using Postman, and assisting QA engineers in identifying and troubleshooting complex defects.
• Designing routing mechanisms (deep links and internal navigation), notification systems (FCM/APNs), and formats for delivering UI components to the application frontend (Markdown, JSON templates).
• Structuring and maintaining mapping tables, statuses, UTM tags, and product parameters, with mandatory support for multiple languages (RU, EN, KZ).
• Creating troubleshooting matrices for technical support teams, including ready-to-use procedures for identifying and resolving common issues.

Requirements

• Having experience as a System Analyst and/or Business Analyst for 2+ years.
• Strong understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture principles.
• Hands-on experience in API design, with a solid understanding of synchronous and asynchronous system interactions.
• Understanding of Kafka concepts and principles.
• Proficiency in BPMN and UML notations for visualizing business processes and system logic.
• Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries in PostgreSQL, and a solid understanding of database management system (DBMS) principles.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Postman, and Swagger, along with a basic understanding of version control systems such as Git.
• Experience using cURL for API testing and PlantUML for creating Sequence and ER diagrams as code.
• Understanding of inter-service authentication and authorization principles, including token-based authentication (Keycloak, Bearer tokens).
• Understanding of the mobile application lifecycle.
• English level – Intermediate and above.
