Andersen is hiring a Solutions Architect for a project building a next-generation card payments platform and driving digital transformation in modern banking solutions.
Our customer is a large international technology organization operating in the digital infrastructure domain. It develops and maintains high-load platforms that process and manage significant volumes of data across multiple regions. The engineering landscape includes distributed systems, cloud-based environments, system integrations, and advanced security practices, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and continuous platform evolution.
The project is focused on building a next-generation card payments platform from the ground up. It includes payment licensing upgrades, card portfolio migration, digital card issuance, digital wallet enablement, and the implementation of scalable payment solutions that support the customer's long-term digital banking strategy. The project also requires readiness for business travel.
Responsibilities
- Defining integration requirements across banking, processing, payment, fraud, and personalization platforms.
- Designing the target architecture for card products, tokenization, digital wallets, and card lifecycle management.
- Defining the end-to-end solution approach for the licensing upgrade.
- Assessing the bank’s current card issuing, processing, operational, and technical landscape.
- Translating licensing and product requirements into business, technical, operational, and compliance workstreams.
- Supporting the design of the operating model for principal membership and identifying gaps in existing processes and systems.
- Defining the implementation roadmap, migration strategy, and build, integration, and vendor approach.
- Reviewing solution designs and ensuring alignment between business, architecture, security, compliance, and operations.
- Supporting Apple Pay and Google Pay enablement, including tokenization, provisioning, and lifecycle management.
- Defining certification, testing, and acceptance requirements, and providing architectural support through testing, migration, go-live, and hypercare.
- Participating in architecture governance and ensuring the delivered solution is scalable, secure, compliant, and operationally sustainable.
Requirements
- Experience in cards, payments, banking technology, or payment solution architecture for 8+ years.
- Strong experience in card issuing and issuer-processing environments.
- Previous involvement in at least one major card implementation, processor migration, or card portfolio migration.
- Strong understanding of card issuing architecture, card management systems, authorization, clearing, and settlement, card lifecycle management, digital card issuance, tokenization, fraud and risk controls, disputes and chargebacks, reconciliation and settlement operations, and card personalization.
- Experience translating schemes and business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
- Experience working with payment schemes, processors, card platforms, digital banking teams, and external vendors.
- Ability to lead both business and technical discussions.
- Strong documentation, solution design, and stakeholder management skills.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
