Head of Data Practice

Summary

The IT company Andersen invites a Head of Data Practice to join the team.

Andersen is a pre-IPO software development company that provides a full cycle of services. For over 19 years, we have been helping enterprises and middle-sized firms transform their businesses by creating effective digital solutions using innovative technologies.

Responsibilities

– Designing end-to-end data platforms: ingestion, storage, modeling (medallion architecture / DWH), data governance, and the BI/AI serving layer.

– Integrating heterogeneous batch and real-time sources (REST/API, SOAP/XML, HL7, IoT streams, government data-exchange gateways).

– Ensuring data governance and regulatory compliance (GDPR/PDPL, national standards, XSD schemas).

– Leading the delivery team: setting technical direction, owning outcomes, mentoring engineers and BI specialists.

– Engaging with clients: conducting discovery workshops, aligning stakeholders, providing steering-level updates, and participating in presales and tender defense — presenting solutions, scoping, and defending estimates.

Requirements

– Experience building an enterprise data platform end-to-end (not just a single pipeline or dashboard).

– Integration across heterogeneous systems: at least 2 of REST API, SOAP/XML, HL7, IoT/streaming, government gateways.

– Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) and KPI dashboard design.

– Practical knowledge of data governance and regulatory requirements (GDPR, PDPL, or national standards).

– Knowledge of Kubernetes/Docker/CI-CD.

– Proven team leadership and client-facing experience (workshops, presentations, C-level/steering committee communications).

– Excellent spoken and written English for international clients and RFPs.

Desired skills

– Experience in public sector, healthcare, or financial services projects (regulatory reporting).

– Experience embedding AI/ML into a platform.

– Experience in vendor-side tenders/RFPs.

– Knowledge of cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP).

– Experience with high-volume data (millions of records/events).
