The IT company Andersen is hiring a Solution Architect in Abu Dhabi for a project driving digital transformation and designing scalable public sector solutions across multiple initiatives.

The customer is a public-sector organization responsible for advancing digital innovation and modernizing services across multiple domains. It supports strategic initiatives in emerging technologies, collaborates with industry and research partners, and develops long-term technology frameworks for improving operational efficiency and service accessibility. The organization focuses on secure, scalable, and sustainable digital development to drive continuous improvement within the broader ecosystem.

The project is focused on supporting cross-initiative digital transformation in Abu Dhabi through a compact SWAT team. The current focus is a Citizen Affairs case management platform for end-to-end handling of citizen requests, while the broader scope includes discovery, prototyping, and delivery of digital solutions to improve social services, public engagement, and administrative efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Defining the end-to-end solution architecture for the Citizen Affairs case management platform, covering web, mobile, backend, workflow, and integration layers.
• Making and documenting key architectural decisions, ensuring alignment with the client's enterprise standards and constraints.
• Designing the case management workflow architecture (case lifecycle, routing, statuses, SLAs, notifications) and integration architecture with the client's existing internal systems.
• Guiding and reviewing the work of the development team (.NET backend, Angular frontend), ensuring adherence to the approved architecture and coding standards.
• Defining and overseeing non-functional requirements: security, performance, scalability, availability, and data protection.
• Preparing and maintaining architectural documentation (HLD/LLD, architecture decision records, integration specifications).
• Collaborating closely with the client's Product Owner, IT stakeholders, and Andersen delivery team throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supporting estimation, planning, and technical risk management activities.
• Evaluating emerging technologies and proposing improvements to the solution where relevant.

Requirements

• Experience working as a Solution Architect for 5+ years.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Solution/Software Architect on enterprise-scale projects.
• Strong hands-on background in .NET/C# development prior to the architect role.
• Experience designing architectures for mobile and web applications (client-server, REST APIs, microservices, integration patterns).
• Solid knowledge of relational databases and data modeling.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS) and containerization.
• Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance considerations for enterprise/government environments.
• Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills, including presenting architecture to non-technical audiences.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Experience working for UAE companies or in the government sector.
• Experience with Angular-based frontends and mobile development approaches (native / cross-platform).
