VCF Consultant 

Summary

Andersen is hiring a VCF Consultant for a project modernizing IT infrastructure across Europe, supporting migrations, designing scalable architectures, and ensuring reliable enterprise IT environments.

The customer is a large international organization providing a diverse range of products and services across multiple markets. Its activities focus on supporting customer needs, improving business processes, and delivering effective solutions. The company continues to develop its capabilities, enhance operational efficiency, and adapt to changing market demands.

The project is focused on transforming and modernizing IT infrastructure for enterprise and public-sector organizations across Europe. It includes infrastructure assessment, migration planning, target architecture design, technical consulting, and implementation to deliver scalable, reliable, and efficient IT environments.

Responsibilities

• Leading technical discovery sessions and infrastructure assessment workshops with end customers.
• Analyzing existing VMware infrastructure, identifying technical gaps, risks, and modernization opportunities.
• Defining infrastructure transformation strategies and target architectures based on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
• Developing technical recommendations, migration approaches, and transformation roadmaps.
• Advising customers on VMware architecture, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure modernization.
• Participating in technical discussions with customer stakeholders and Dell teams.
• Preparing technical documentation, architecture designs, and implementation plans.
• Supporting or lead hands-on implementation, configuration, migration, and troubleshooting activities when required.
• Ensuring proposed solutions align with customer requirements, security policies, and enterprise infrastructure standards.

Requirements

• Experience in enterprise IT infrastructure consulting or solution architecture for 5+ years.
• Strong expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere / ESXi and enterprise virtualization environments.
• Proven experience in infrastructure transformation, modernization, upgrades, or migrations.
• Ability to assess existing infrastructure and independently design technical solutions and transformation plans.
• Experience leading technical discovery workshops and communicating directly with enterprise customers.
• Ability to combine consulting / architecture responsibilities with hands-on technical implementation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally for onsite assignments across Europe, including the UK where applicable.
• Openness to flexible, project-based B2B cooperation.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation 9.
• Knowledge of VMware vSAN, NSX, SDDC Manager, and VCF Operations / Automation.
• Experience with Dell enterprise infrastructure, particularly Dell VxRail.
• VMware VCF upgrades and complex infrastructure migrations.
• Experience supporting public-sector or government customers.
• Experience working in security-sensitive or regulated environments.
• Relevant VMware / Broadcom certifications (VCF, VCP, VCAP, VCDX).
• Previous experience as a VMware Technical Consultant, Principal Consultant, or Solution Architect.
• Experience delivering hybrid cloud or private cloud transformation projects.
