Andersen is hiring a DevOps Engineer with Italian for a project supporting web and mobile applications and enhancing CI/CD processes, security, and operational reliability.
Our customer is an established automotive business operating in a European market and providing a range of distribution, commercial, and customer-focused services. It supports various aspects of vehicle sales and after-sales operations while working with a broad network of business partners. The organization continues to invest in digital transformation, cloud technologies, data-driven solutions, and cybersecurity to modernize its operations, improve customer experience, and increase overall business efficiency.
The project is focused on providing managed maintenance and application support services for a large portfolio of mobile and web applications. It covers software enhancements, technical support, continuous updates, CI/CD-based lifecycle management, and documentation while ensuring reliable operations, security, and alignment with established IT service management standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and managing software versions, dependencies, vulnerabilities, and End-of-Life (EOL) components using Aikido, Renovate, and related tools, including manual updates where required.
- Ensuring critical, high-risk, and standard components are updated within defined timelines, prioritizing high and critical vulnerabilities.
- Managing EOL components, including preparing upgrade plans within required timelines and ensuring no unsupported components remain in production.
- Performing impact analysis for major updates and defining upgrade plans in collaboration with Developers.
- Maintaining and supporting GitLab CI/CD pipelines based on the Universal Pipeline, including linting, SAST, builds, automated tests, SonarQube quality gates, Docker/Kaniko builds, and Trivy scanning.
- Maintaining security and quality gates, container and base image lifecycles, artifact versioning and publication, and SBOMs for delivered artifacts.
- Troubleshooting build and deployment issues and supporting releases and deployments across on-premises and AWS environments.
- Adapting CI/CD pipelines to application and technology stack changes and resolving recurring DevOps issues.
- Maintaining pipeline and operational documentation in Confluence and contributing to monthly reporting on update status and timeline exceptions.
Requirements
- Experience in DevOps / build and release engineering for production web applications for 3+ years.
- Strong hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, including pipeline design, maintenance, and troubleshooting, as well as Git and Merge Request workflows.
- Experience with Docker, container image management, Kaniko or similar rootless build tools, and container registries.
- Experience with dependency and vulnerability management, including Renovate/Dependabot, Aikido/Snyk, Trivy, and SonarQube or equivalent tools.
- Experience with Java build tools (Maven/Gradle).
- Working knowledge of AWS, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and Docker Compose environments.
- Experience with secrets management using Vault or similar solutions, least-privilege access, and secure CI/CD practices.
- Experience with Splunk or similar centralized logging and monitoring tools.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
- Level of Italian – from Intermediate and above.
Desired skills
- Experience with .NET build tooling (MSBuild, dotnet CLI, NuGet).
- Experience deploying and supporting applications on Windows Server / IIS.
