System Analyst in Kazakhstan

Summary

Andersen is hiring a System Analyst (Compass Payment) in Kazakhstan for a project developing a secure, scalable payment platform and ensuring reliable system integrations.

Our customer is a large international technology organization operating in the digital infrastructure domain. It develops and maintains high-load platforms that process and manage significant volumes of data across multiple regions. The engineering landscape includes distributed systems, cloud-based environments, system integrations, and advanced security practices, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and continuous platform evolution.

The project is focused on developing and integrating a modern payment platform that supports secure and reliable payment processing and interaction with external systems. It includes scalable microservices, asynchronous transaction processing, payment status and error handling, with a strong emphasis on resilience, security, and high availability.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and analyzing requirements for payment processes.
• Formalizing business and system requirements.
• Defining functional and non-functional requirements.
• Developing integration specifications.
• Describing Compass Payment interactions with internal and external systems.
• Developing and maintaining REST API specifications.
• Defining JSON request and response structures.
• Describing payment transaction statuses and state transitions.
• Formalizing successful and failed payment processing scenarios.
• Defining requirements for idempotency and transaction reprocessing.
• Using UML/BPMN to model processes and system interactions.
• Using SQL for data analysis and validation.
• Participating in the analysis of integration issues and incidents.
• Preparing requirements and acceptance criteria for development.
• Collaborating with architects, developers, and QA engineers.
• Analyzing existing functionality and identifying required changes.
• Participating in acceptance testing of implemented functionality and verifying compliance with requirements.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience as a System Analys for 3+ years.
• Hands-on experience with payment systems and a strong understanding of the payment transaction lifecycle, including key processing stages, statuses, and state transitions.
• Experience in documenting business and system requirements.
• Experience in preparing integration specifications.
• Hands-on experience working with REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of JSON.
• Hands-on experience with SQL.
• Knowledge of UML and BPMN.
• Understanding of idempotency principles.
• Understanding of synchronous and asynchronous integration scenarios.
• Experience collaborating with developers, QA engineers, and architects.
• Experience decomposing requirements to a level sufficient for development and testing.
• Direct hands-on experience with Compass Payment.
• Level of English – from Intermediate and above.
