Summary

Andersen is hiring a Business Analyst in the EU for a project modernizing retail technology and building a scalable enterprise data and analytics platform.

The project is focused on modernizing retail technology and establishing a secure, scalable, and governed enterprise data and analytics platform. It aims to transform reporting capabilities, integrate key data sources, and support regulatory and operational reporting, advanced analytics, data migration, and future strategic data products.

Responsibilities

  • Bridging business, data, reporting, and technical teams to elicit, analyze, and translate business, regulatory, data, and analytics requirements.
  • Analyzing legacy IRIS capabilities and source systems, including Sapiens, to define future-state data products, KPIs, dashboards, and analytics.
  • Defining data requirements, source-to-target mappings, business rules, transformation logic, data definitions, and acceptance criteria across IRIS, Sapiens, and EDAM.
  • Supporting conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, as well as semantic models and governed datasets for reporting, self-service analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Supporting data migration, reconciliation, validation, UAT, and ensuring delivered solutions meet business, operational, and regulatory needs.
  • Collaborating with Data Engineers and Architects to ensure requirements are feasible, traceable, and correctly implemented.
  • Facilitating stakeholder workshops, managing gaps, dependencies, and risks, and driving requirements through implementation.
  • Supporting MVP prioritization and contributing to data governance, lineage, metadata, and data quality practices, including foundations for future AI capabilities.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Business Analyst for 4+ years, preferably within data-intensive transformation programs.
  • Strong practical experience in Data Analysis / Data Business Analysis.
  • Proven experience gathering and translating business requirements into data, reporting or analytics solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, data flows, data mapping and data transformation concepts.
  • Experience working with source-to-target mappings and defining business rules.
  • Experience working with reporting, BI, data platforms or enterprise data products.
  • Ability to understand complex data models and translate technical concepts into business language and vice versa.
  • Experience working with business, architecture, engineering and data teams in a large-scale transformation environment.
  • Strong experience in requirements elicitation, stakeholder management and workshop facilitation.
  • Experience defining user stories, acceptance criteria and functional requirements.
  • Experience supporting data migration, reconciliation and validation activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex program with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

  • Experience in Retail, Financial Services, Insurance or other regulated industries.
  • Experience with legacy-to-modern data platform transformations.
  • Experience with regulatory and operational reporting.
  • Knowledge of Azure, Databricks or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience with data governance, metadata, data lineage and data quality.
  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms or Data Mesh concepts.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled analytics, semantic models or agentic AI solutions.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
