AI Engineer

Summary

Andersen is hiring an AI Engineer for a project developing AI infrastructure, intelligent automation, and scalable machine learning solutions for a quality intelligence platform.

The customer is a technology-driven software quality services provider that helps organizations improve the reliability, usability, and performance of their digital products. It combines quality engineering expertise, flexible delivery models, and technology-enabled services to support web, mobile, and other digital solutions across multiple industries. The company helps businesses accelerate software delivery, improve product quality, and enhance end-user experience through scalable testing and quality assurance services.

The project is focused on modernizing a quality intelligence platform by expanding its public API capabilities, strengthening security, and enhancing AI infrastructure. It includes building an agent orchestration platform, improving authentication and data protection, modernizing the data architecture, and supporting enterprise-grade compliance and platform reliability.

Responsibilities

• Building and evolving the agent orchestration layer for a platform-embedded chatbot, including intent handling, guardrails, routing, and multi-agent workflows.
• Orchestrating interactions across multiple microservice APIs and designing scalable tool layers for agent-driven actions.
• Solving production challenges around context management, long conversations, bulk operations, latency, and service scalability.
• Designing MCP servers and tools to expose backend capabilities to AI agents with standardized authentication and integration.
• Implementing bulk and asynchronous workflows, including polling, progress tracking, and user feedback.
• Building streaming and real-time feedback mechanisms using asynchronous processing, webhooks, and checkpoints.
• Designing framework-agnostic orchestration solutions across LangGraph and other agent frameworks.
• Contributing to LLM evaluation, tracing, and observability to ensure transparent and measurable AI outputs.

Requirements

• Experience in ML/AI engineering with expert-level Python, including async programming and FastAPI-class backends, for 3+ years.
• Production experience with LangGraph, including sequential workflows (nodes/edges) and multi-agent orchestration; strong LangChain Agents experience with a fast ramp-up to LangGraph may also be considered.
• Experience designing agent orchestration across multiple microservices/APIs, including tool definitions, input/output validation, and programmatic tool calling.
• Strong knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol), including client/server architecture, tool discovery, and designing tools around service/API boundaries.
• Experience with context management for long-lived AI conversations, including summarization, sliding windows, and vector database retrieval.
• Strong understanding of LLM context and cost optimization, including diagnosing context loss and controlling context growth.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and AWS ECS deployments.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Experience with vector databases and retrieval pipelines, including advanced chunking, hybrid retrieval, and re-ranking.
• Experience with RAG and document intelligence, including OCR, structured extraction, and source-linked outputs.
• Knowledge of LLM evaluation and observability, including LLM-as-judge, human-in-the-loop, and tracing tools such as Langfuse.
• Experience with AWS services such as Textract, Bedrock, OpenSearch, S3, Cognito, CodePipeline, and ECS/Fargate.
• Familiarity with agent-to-agent protocols for distributed systems.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code, including reviewing AI-generated code and artifacts.
