DevOps Engineer

Summary

Andersen is hiring a DevOps Engineer for a project building resilient cloud infrastructure and delivering scalable automation solutions for enterprise applications.

Our customer is a technology consulting and engineering provider that helps organizations accelerate digital transformation through cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, data analytics, software development, and managed services. It delivers end-to-end solutions that modernize IT environments, improve operational efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making, supporting customers from strategy and implementation to ongoing optimization.

The project is focused on building resilient cloud infrastructure and automated disaster recovery solutions for business-critical enterprise applications. It combines Azure cloud services with Microsoft enterprise technologies to improve system reliability, automation, and operational continuity across a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end CI/CD pipelines to automate the provisioning and deployment of DR environments for Tier 1 applications.
• Writing clean, modular, and scalable IaC using both Terraform and Azure Bicep to manage hybrid Azure environments.
• Developing and maintaiingn automation scripts for silent installations, software patching, and system configuration on Windows Server environments.
• Utilizing PowerShell and PowerShell DSC to enforce state configuration, ensuring IaaS virtual machines (IIS, SQL Server) are highly available and consistent upon failover.
• Configuring and troubleshooting complex network topologies, focusing on secure ingress/egress endpoint communication, Azure Virtual Networks, firewalls, and DNS resolution critical for DR routing.
• Working closely with application owners and architecture teams to map out DR requirements and provide comprehensive documentation for automated recovery workflows.

Requirements

• Experience in a dedicated DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Systems Automation role for 4+ years.
• Proficiency in Terraform and Azure Bicep for multi-layered infrastructure deployment.
• Deep understanding of Azure IaaS (VMs, Managed Disks) and Azure SaaS/PaaS components.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools to drive pipeline automation
• Extensive administration knowledge of Windows Server environments.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting capabilities.
• Proven experience with PowerShell DSC or equivalent tools for maintaining server baselines.
• Hands-on experience configuring and automating IIS (Internet Information Services) and Microsoft SQL Server and understanding authentication methods.
• Expertise in orchestrating unattended/silent installations of enterprise software and dependencies.
• Core understanding of DNS management (including private zones and traffic routing for DR scenarios).
• Strong grasp of ingress/egress traffic patterns, network security groups (NSGs), load balancers, and endpoint communication tracking.
• Previous experience designing or implementing Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) strategies for critical systems.
• Level of English – Intermediate+ and above.
