Summary

The client is preparing a phased transformation of its OSS landscape. The current OSS environment includes several legacy/custom systems supporting partner orders, field work, ticketing, provisioning, monitoring, technical data handling and operational process control. The objective is not just to replace one system, but to define a future OSS target architecture and prepare a technical foundation for a future tender.

The engagement will cover:

current-state assessment of existing OSS systems, processes, integrations and data flows;

analysis of legacy/custom OSS components, especially systems related to partner orders / field work, ticketing / trouble management, provisioning, monitoring and technical data;

OSS/BSS boundary clarification;

target OSS capability model;

target architecture and integration principles;

transformation roadmap

Responsibilities

Lead business process discovery and requirements structuring across the OSS transformation scope. This role should bridge client business stakeholders, operations teams, IT architecture and technical experts.

Conduct structured interviews and workshops with Kabelplus stakeholders.

Capture current-state processes across OSS-related domains.

Map business capabilities and process flows.

Identify pain points, gaps, risks and process constraints.

Translate client needs into Level 1 and Level 2 requirements.

Support OSS capability mapping.

Support definition of future process vision.

Clarify dependencies between OSS processes and BSS/customer-order processes.

Document requirements in a clear, vendor-neutral and tender-usable format.

Support preparation of process maps, requirements catalogue and RFP/tender input.

Work closely with the OSS Solution Architect and System Analyst to ensure process, system and integration views are consistent.

Process areas to cover:

order-to-activation;

service change;

provisioning / activation;

partner order handling;

partner coordination;

field-service / installation coordination;

trouble ticketing;

assurance and case management;

service routing;

service and network monitoring;

coordination with BSS/customer-order layer as reference only.

Requirements

Strong business analysis experience in telecom or comparable network/operator environments.

Experience with OSS/BSS processes.

Strong requirements engineering skills.

Experience with process mapping and capability mapping.

Ability to structure ambiguous legacy process knowledge.

Experience with stakeholder interviews and workshop facilitation.

Ability to write clear requirements for RFP/tender context.

Client-facing consulting mindset.

Strong German communication skills.

Desired skills

TM Forum eTOM understanding.

ITIL process knowledge.

Experience with regional telecom operators, cable operators, fiber operators or MVNO environments.

Experience with field service, partner workflows or service assurance.
