Full Stack Developer (Python/React) in the EU

Summary

Andersen is hiring a Full Stack Developer (Python/React) in the EU for a project developing a scalable GRC SaaS platform and enhancing compliance management solutions.

The customer is a European technology company providing software solutions that help organizations manage and streamline complex business and regulatory processes. Its offering supports companies of different sizes in improving operational efficiency, reducing manual work, and addressing evolving organizational requirements.

The project is focused on developing and enhancing a modular Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) SaaS platform that supports information security, risk management, business continuity, and data protection processes. It provides scalable and reliable compliance management capabilities for public sector organizations and large enterprises.

Responsibilities

• Starting embedded within the client's frontend (React) team: extend the generic React/TypeScript interpreter and component catalogue to support new field types, layouts and actions as modules migrate.
• Implementing frontend support for the view-descriptor contract defined by the backend team.
• Gradually transitioning toward backend work over the course of the engagement, as frontend effort naturally decreases with each migrated module.
• Picking up backend tasks on simpler modules (Referenced-only / Read-only) under Lead/Backend guidance once transitioned, and eventually contributing to the schema/view-descriptor layer itself.
• Working closely with the Lead on aligning schema, actions and permissions across the backend/frontend boundary.
• Supporting contract testing from the frontend side against golden fixtures.

Requirements

• Experience in backend engineering with a strong track record of delivering production projects for 4+ years.
• Strong full-stack production experience with both React / Django / Django REST Framework/ TypeScript.
• Experience with JSON Schema and config-driven UI patterns, including building or maintaining interfaces driven by structured configuration.
• Solid backend fundamentals, including relational data modelling, REST API design, serializers, validation, and clean data contracts.
• Strong automated testing habits, particularly with pytest, and an understanding of how to build reliable, maintainable test coverage.
• Comfort working in a large, mature codebase — able to quickly understand existing architecture, conventions, and patterns, and contribute without unnecessarily reinventing established solutions.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Deep expertise in Django REST Framework, ideally with hands-on experience building or maintaining multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
• Working knowledge of React / TypeScript — enough to confidently navigate the frontend codebase and contribute when needed.
• Experience with schema- or metadata-driven architectures, particularly JSON Schema and configuration-driven approaches.
• GRC / compliance domain experience — familiarity with governance, risk, compliance, controls, audits, or related workflows is a strong advantage.
