System/Business Analyst (Kazakhstan)

Summary

Andersen is hiring a System/Business Analyst in Kazakhstan for a project defining system requirements and supporting the development of digital Islamic banking products.

Our customer is a large international technology organization operating in the digital infrastructure domain. It develops and maintains high-load platforms that process and manage significant volumes of data across multiple regions. The engineering landscape includes distributed systems, cloud-based environments, system integrations, and advanced security practices, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and continuous platform evolution.

The project is focused on defining detailed functional requirements for Islamic banking products based on established business process maps. It aims to translate banking processes into clear system requirements that support effective implementation and alignment with Islamic banking principles.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing the provided Islamic banking process maps and supporting documentation.
• Conducting workshops and interviews with business, product, operations, IT and other relevant stakeholders.
• Clarifying business rules, product logic, process flows, roles, exceptions and integration requirements.
• Identifying gaps, ambiguities, dependencies and inconsistencies in the existing process maps.
• Developing detailed functional and system requirements for multiple Islamic banking products.
• Preparing functional specifications, use cases, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Describing AS-IS and TO-BE processes where required.
• Defining data requirements, validations, calculations, statuses, workflows and exception scenarios.
• Documenting integration requirements involving Way4, Colvir and other relevant systems.
• Supporting requirements validation, stakeholder review and formal sign-off.
• Working closely with the client’s business, architecture, development and testing teams.
• Supporting the project team during implementation and testing by clarifying approved requirements.

Requirements

• Experience as a Business Analyst and/or System Analyst in banking for 4+ years.
• Strong practical understanding of banking products, processes and operations.
• Hands-on project experience with both Way4 and Colvir.
• Proven experience preparing detailed functional and system requirements.
• Experience analyzing complex process maps and translating them into implementation-ready specifications.
• Strong understanding of system integrations, APIs, data flows and interface requirements.
• Experience facilitating requirements-gathering workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
• Level of English – from Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Previous experience with Islamic banking or Islamic finance products.
• Knowledge of Sharia-compliant banking principles and relevant product structures.
• Experience with card processing, core banking, payments, financing, deposits or related banking products.
• Experience supporting UAT and requirements traceability.
• Certifications Azure, Oracle, Microsoft, UiPath, AWS, Antropic.
