Business Analyst

Summary

Andersen is hiring a Business Analyst for a project enhancing a cloud-native digital banking platform and delivering scalable financial solutions and system integrations.

The customer is a mobile-only digital bank offering modern financial services through an app-based experience. The organization provides features such as virtual cards, multi-currency accounts, savings tools, and goal-based financial planning, along with innovative products that support personal and group savings. Known for its user-centric approach and continuous product innovation, the bank has received industry recognition for digital excellence and customer experience.

The project is focused on enhancing a cloud-native digital banking platform through the delivery of new banking features and system integrations. It includes improving customer journeys, supporting digital product expansion, and delivering scalable, end-to-end solutions across the banking ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, and IT delivery units.
• Eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements across digital banking products.
• Designing and describing end-to-end customer journeys (onboarding, accounts, cards, lending, etc.).
• Modelling system interactions and data flows between mobile applications, backend services, CRM, and core banking systems.
• Collaborating closely with solution architects on system design, integrations, and technical feasibility.
• Preparing detailed functional specifications and high-quality user stories.
• Leading and facilitating requirement refinement sessions and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
• Working closely with UI/UX designers to define and refine mobile customer journeys and user flows.
• Supporting development and QA teams by clarifying requirements and ensuring shared understanding of scope.
• Participating in integration activities, including external services (e.g., KYC, government APIs, scoring engines).
• Performing impact analysis for changes and propose optimized solutions.
• Identifying process gaps, root causes of issues, and recommending improvements.

Requirements

• Experience as a Business Analyst for 2.5+ years.
• Proven experience in retail banking, fintech, or digital banking projects.
• Strong understanding of the full BA lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and delivery.
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, DoR/DoD, and facilitating requirement workshops.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, Postman, and Swagger.
• Understanding of system integrations, distributed architecture, and basic SQL for data analysis and validation.
• Solid knowledge of digital banking products (accounts, cards, lending), digital onboarding, KYC/AML, and credit decisioning.
• Understanding of customer journeys and interactions between mobile applications, backend services, CRM, and core banking systems.
• Experience collaborating with developers, solution architects, and UI/UX designers.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum with Jira, Confluence, and process modeling tools (BPMN, Visio, Draw.io).
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Experience with trading or investment-related products.
• Basic understanding of financial instruments such as equities, FX, and mutual funds.
• Experience working with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
