Azure Cloud Engineer

Summary

Andersen is hiring an Azure Cloud Engineer for a project supporting business-critical Azure infrastructure and ensuring reliable, secure, and stable cloud operations.

The customer is an international technology company developing cloud-based software solutions that help organizations manage information, improve collaboration, and streamline internal processes. Its platform supports secure document handling, workflow coordination, and operational efficiency across distributed teams. Serving clients from a variety of industries, the company focuses on scalability, usability, and continuous enhancement of digital workplace experiences.

The project is focused on supporting and enhancing business-critical infrastructure hosted in Microsoft Azure. It includes maintaining cloud environments, troubleshooting production issues, improving operational stability, and ensuring the reliable performance of Azure services and Windows-based workloads.

Responsibilities

• Providing operational support for production Azure environments and cloud-hosted applications.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Azure Virtual Machines, Windows Server workloads, storage, networking, and platform services.
• Supporting and reviewing Azure DevOps pull requests and assist with CI/CD-related operational activities.
• Performing root cause analysis and implementing sustainable fixes for recurring infrastructure issues.
• Monitoring cloud environments and proactively identify reliability, availability, and performance concerns.
• Collaborating with development and platform engineering teams to support deployments and production operations.
• Maintaining operational documentation, troubleshooting guides, and supporting procedures.
• Contributing to automation efforts through scripting and process improvements.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience administering Windows Server environments for 3+ years.
• Solid knowledge of core Microsoft Azure services, including Virtual Machines (VMs), Storage Accounts, Key Vault, Function Apps, App Services, and Networking components.
• Good understanding of Azure networking fundamentals, including VNets, Subnets, NSGs, DNS, Load Balancers, and Private Endpoints.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and operational tasks.
• Experience troubleshooting production environments and handling break/fix activities.
• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools, including Azure Monitor and Datadog.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Experience with Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Knowledge of container troubleshooting and basic cluster operations.
• Experience with Better Stack or similar observability platforms.
• Infrastructure-as-Code exposure (Bicep, ARM, Terraform).
• Experience working in regulated or enterprise cloud environments.
