Andersen is hiring a SysOps Engineer in Budapest for a project supporting digital urban mobility solutions and improving the reliability of smart transportation platforms.
The customer is a company providing technology-enabled operational services for organizations and public-sector partners. It develops and manages large-scale solutions that support everyday service delivery, improve operational efficiency, and enhance user experience through a combination of digital platforms, infrastructure, and ongoing operational support.
The project is focused on developing and enhancing digital solutions for public bike-sharing and urban mobility services. It includes optimizing operational workflows, supporting fleet and infrastructure management, and improving the efficiency and reliability of sustainable transportation services across multiple cities.
Responsibilities
- Providing onsite (on demand) and remote support for remote tasks IT support services within the agreed monthly allocation of around 30 hours.
- Preparing, configuring, and coordinating laptops, PCs, mobile phones, and printers in accordance with the client's internal setup procedures.
- Verifying Windows editions and coordinating Windows Pro license activation or upgrades when required.
- Installing and configuring Microsoft Office, Sophos, and other approved software using client-provided installation resources.
- Supporting Microsoft Intune enrollment and coordinating device registration in Entra ID.
- Configuring Windows user profiles and assisting with the initial user login process.
- Coordinating password and MFA resets with the client's administrators before device handover.
- Preparing and configuring mobile devices, including application installation, PIN setup, Company Portal installation, and Intune/Entra ID enrollment.
- Supporting basic mobile device preparation activities, including screen protector installation when agreed.
- Coordinating printer setup, including placement, network connectivity, configuration, and functional testing.
- Tracking and managing support requests through the Service Desk portal.
- Providing regular status updates and coordinating request progress with client stakeholders.
- Escalating client-side activities requiring administrative privileges, licenses, credentials, MFA resets, or Entra ID permissions.
- Ensuring all support activities are delivered remotely, with onsite assistance provided only upon prior agreement.
Requirements
- Experience as a SysOps / IT Support Engineer for 2+ years.
- Experience with hardware setup and device configuration.
- Windows administration and troubleshooting.
- Basic networking knowledge.
- Available to start immediately.
- Able to work remotely with onsite coordination.
- Comfortable with SLA-driven ticket workflows and fast, disciplined on-call response, route/escalate to the right teams, and keep tickets clean and updated.
- Comfortable with ticket workflows and SLA-based response
- Clear written English for user-facing updates and internal coordination
- Reliable for on-call shifts; able to follow runbooks and escalate correctly
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Desired skills
- Experience with onsite IT support.
